Merry Christmas
Thank you for the response to my recent general letter. One
advantage of the sending out a general letter is getting the
responses and knowing about the lives of friends.
We have finished classes, correction and grades, and most
other administrative work, so one feels a bit more relaxed
and ready for Christmas. Elizabeth is planning a series of
evening meetings for singing chorales and having a time of
meditation around Christmas and prayer. There will probably
be over thirty present the first nights, and then less and
less as some travel to be with their families. This will begin
on the 16th. We are thankful for your prayers for Elizabeth's
health. She is better, but still with some coughing, especially
at night. Basically, she has stayed inside to avoid the cool
winds that are common during this season.
Thank you for your prayers for Luis. He has been given permission
for a type of "house arrest" while the case is determined.
Everyone knows that he is innocent, but this has to be proven
through the court system. He should be transferred to a home
of his wife's family in Bucaramanga early this coming week.
I leave tomorrow before dawn for the airport as I leave for
California for a week with my mother. Pray for this time,
that we can enjoy the time together, and that she will be
able to finish some business and shopping she wants to do
while I am there.
May the Lord bless your Christmas season.
In His love,
Don and Elizabeth
